To find the Mouse-Man charm you need to go to the Japanese temple as Mouse-Man. To enter that area, simply transform into Mouse-Man, break the rocks by standing on the wall and then continue down the path. Your destination is located behind a blue snake to the right. You’ll know the location because there will be two blue snakes. To go to the location, simply run against the wall to sneak through it and head there. Mouse-Man is probably the hardest charm to get, but it’s also the shortest. The trick is that you need to jump across a number of small platforms, latch onto the platforms and successfully make it across without getting hit or messing up.
The first tip I can give you is the Will ‘o Wisp (flying gold enemy) will chase after you and always drops a heart. As long as you don’t waste too much time, it’s impossible to die if you always kill this enemy and collect the heart. The bats can be killed by either using a fireball, lightning or a jump attack. You must kill them if you want any chance of getting across and the sooner the better.
The trickiest jump is probably landing on the upper platform, something that I accomplished by holding up while jumping or jumping off that platform. The best advice I can give for jumping is to walk to the edge, move forward and then jump. You should land on the edge of the block below, so get read to adjust. After that things are too bad.
As you’ll no doubt notice, the door at the end is locked. The gold enemy that shoots out attacks has the key, so in addition to probably wanting to kill it, you need to open the door. To kill the enemy above, I suggest arrows or lightning. If you don’t have either get ready to attack it. I strongly suggest killing it before trying to exit. If you can make it to the door, the challenge is over.
Piranha-Man Charm Stone
Congrats, Piranha-Man is probably the easiest charm to obtain, but arguably the hardest to find. Starting from the beach, fall in the water at Piranha-Man and move to the left. You should see a door on the far left and a platform with two blocks. The door is located on that platform invisible. Just jump up there and hold the enter button. This should result in you going through the door. The gold ghost closest to the door has the key. Simply kill it to exit.
Lion-Man Charm Stone
Similar to Piranha-Man, Lion-Man’s charm is pretty easy to obtain, but tricky to find. It’s also located at the beach, but it’s in the location to the right. After the first beach area, fall in the water and break the hidden blocks between the first and second octopus. This can be hard to see, so i strongly suggest using classic mode to find it.The only difficult part is the lava section (which isn't too bad if you equip the Dragon Mail), so I suggest just ignoring the enemies and run forward. You might take some damage, but it’s much simpler than dealing with them.
Hawk-Man Charm Stone
After obtaining the ability to turn into Hawk-Man, return to the volcano section. This is the place to the right of the desert. Fly all the way to the end and you’ll eventually end up in the hidden location. At the end of the level, one of the gold frogs has the key.
Hu-Man Charm Stone
After beating the game a door will appear on the house to the left of the nurse in the village. Enter that and then enter the door in there to find the Hu-Man secret location. The first jumping puzzle can be solved by jumping on the higher spring box onto the blocks. From there, the key needed to open the door of the second location is held by the cloud enemy. In the next room you want to make it to the far right, jump on the leftmost edge of the spring box and move left as soon as possible if you want to make the jump. Keep moving left to make it to the final room. The solution to the final puzzle is to wait by the opening, crouch down and have the blowback from the enemy push you through the hole.
